Chelsea will appoint the former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri as soon as they cross Antonio Conte’s palm with enough compensatory silver. Gianfranco Zola will be Sarri’s assistant. And as soon as the management team are confirmed, Chelsea will press ahead with bids for Robert Lewandowski, Nice midfielder Jean Seri and CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin. Won’t somebody think of Danny Drinkwater?
Don’t stop us if you think if you’ve heard this one before, because we already know you have: Eden Hazard may join Real Madrid from Chelsea this summer. And suggestions that Nabil Fekir’s move to Liverpool is definitely off are FEK NEWS: the transfer could still go ahead after the World Cup.

Finally, Sevilla and Fenerbahce are interested in former footballer Daniel Sturridge, and Liverpool are interesting in receiving £15m for his increasingly inconsiderable services.

Hammers have zero interest in free agent
Jack Wilshere’s hopes of landing a West Ham gig remains the longest of longshots – indeed a non starter.
Reports have emerged over the last few days that Manuel Pellegrini wants the player and would love him to become his Manuel Lanzini replacement.
Indeed one report – in a notorious red top -went as far as to claim: ‘Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini is a big admirer of Wilshere and the Hammers have told the ace they want to build a team around him.’
They add that Wilshere – who becomes a free agent at the end of the month – would prefer to stay in London but Wolves, Everton and Newcastle are all understood to be interested.
The truth, however, is that the Hammers, following their Andy Carroll experience, are totally disinterested in adding another player to the squad with a horrendous injury record.
He has already rejected a £100,000k a week offer from Arsenal to remain at the Emirates and the Hammers would offer nothing near that figure given his injury history even were they tempted to make a move.

West Ham to unveil Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop double transfer

West Ham will confirm the signings of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and central defender Issa Diop within the next 24 hours.
The club, who have already signed Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer, have agreed a £7million, three-year contract with Swansea for Fabianski but will delay confirmation of the deal until tomorrow since the 33-year-old former Arsenal keeper is in the Poland squad facing Senegal today.
Diop underwent a medical in London yesterday and was due to complete a £22m move from French Ligue 1 club Toulouse.
Everton and Sevilla are among the clubs who have shown an interest in 6ft 4ins Diop, 21, but West Ham who, under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, look eager to do the bulk of their business early, have moved quickly.
West Ham are also interested in Fabianski’s Swansea team-mate, central defender Alfie Mawson.
The bid to sign Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson from Lazio has stalled. West Ham have offered £30.5m for the 25-year-old but Lazio, who have to pay 25 per cent of any transfer fee to the player’s former club Santos, want £42m.
